PWA Question | How can I make my child an effective learner? |
PWA Answer |
Practicing the use of executive function skills is one way to improve both development and performance. Learning is a result of key brain processes and the right kind of stimulation. So, the right of structured play and nutrition can go a long way to helping your child learn. Involving your child in day-to-day tasks can also help to promote their executive function skills. For example, if you’re in the grocery store with your child, give them little things to do to help you. Ask them to remember to get eggs and milk, or a couple of other things, to keep the child engaged and make shopping fun. When you find one of the items, your child will update their working memory and mentally cross it off the list.
