Get ready for this movement game by choosing a variety of fast and slow songs to play. Pick a zoo animal – for example, an elephant – and pretend to be one by using your arm as a trunk and making trumpeting noises.
Play some music as you pretend and alternate between songs. When the music is fast, you can move as fast as they like. But when the music is slow, the animals must move very slowly.
After a few minutes, shout out the name of a new animal. Pay attention to whether {LEARNER_FNAME} can switch to a different set of actions when the animal changes.
Take turns picking different animals such as lions, sharks, snakes and birds. |
