Sit back on the couch as if you are settling back to watch your favorite show and ask {LEARNER_FNAME} to stand in front of you to pretend to be on the television. Use a remote control pointed at {OBJ_PRONOUN} to signal when to change the channel.
Challenge {LEARNER_FNAME} to act out the shows on the TV, watching carefully for when you switch channels so {SUBJ_PRONOUN} can switch to a new show.
Take the remote and pretend to turn on the TV. Let {LEARNER_FNAME} know what show {SUBJ_PRONOUN} is starring in, where the setting of the show is – for example, at the beach – and when to start acting.
{LEARNER_FNAME} should act as if {SUBJ_PRONOUN} is on the beach. {SUBJ_PRONOUN} might go swimming in the ocean, or build a sandcastle. Try not to prompt {OBJ_PRONOUN} with ideas unless {SUBJ_PRONOUN} is really stuck.
Keep switching the channel every few minutes. You can visit the desert, scuba dive underwater or even teleport to an alien planet! |
