Let {LEARNER_FNAME} and {POS_PRONOUN}'s friends stand in line, each at arm’s distance apart. Put a bucket filled with“bananas” (i.e. towels) next to the first child; and at arm's distance from the last child, put an empty bucket with a toy monkey next to it.
Parents tell the children: “Baby monkey is very hungry, but it can’t find any food. Let's give it bananas (i.e.towels), as fast as we can!”Ask the children to pass the bananas along, one by one, from the first child to the last to drop into the monkey's bucket.
To make it more fun, parents can tell the children: ""Thank you so much, rescue team. The Baby monkey is now very full, please stop delivering the banana!"" Ask the children to freeze.
When the process is smooth, parents can switch between the 2 commands. See if the rescue team can make prompt reactions. |
